In order for the Forever Held Foundation to maintain its charitable status and to continue to further its benevolent purpose of providing respite to those who have suffered loss, we are required to ensure that guests supply material relevant to their eligibility to utilise this service.

Kindly complete the statutory declaration provided OR submit any letter of referral that you may have from a relevant health professional (Doctor, Nurse, Psychologist or Counsellor).

Eligibility:

Any parent who has experienced the death of their child (from conception to age 18) is eligible for a short stay (2-4 nights) at our retreat.

There is a fully equipped kitchen. However, if you simply don’t have the energy to think about your next meal, frozen meals from a local catering company can be provided. Please note: Unfortunately at this stage we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.

Terms & Condition of Stay(Required)

We want to ensure your stay in a Forever Held Foundation Retreat enables you to grieve, rest, and experience nature as you take the next step on your healing journey. We assure you that we will be working hard to do this. However, you will understand that to allow us to do this and, also to maintain the standards of the properties for you and for future guests, we need to have some rules.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

By submitting your booking confirmation form and a referral from a medical practitioner OR statutory declaration, you have agreed to utilise the property upon these terms and conditions.

THE PROPERTY
Our retreat is situated in Victoria’s scenic south-west, conveniently located 15 minutes east of Warrnambool and in close proximity to the Great Ocean Road. The fully furnished cabin is suitable for couples and families with up to two children.
Where there is a failure of utilities, essential services or appliances we will take all reasonable steps to have the problem fixed if you tell us, but immediate repair may not be possible.

BOOKINGS AND TERMS
When we accept your request to stay and receive your referral, we will reserve the property for your exclusive use during the requested period. By clicking on the booking button below you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

AVAILABILITY OF THE PROPERTY
We will make the property available for your use and in a clean and tidy condition at the start time and date shown in the booking confirmation. However, we may at any time cancel your booking if in our sole discretion there are reasons which require us to do so.
You will be able to access the property after 2pm on the first day using a key code that will be sent to you on the morning of your stay. As specified in the booking confirmation letter, check out time is 11:00am on the last day.

AT THE END OF YOUR STAY
You agree to leave the property in a clean condition. If you fail to do this, we may impose a cleaning charge. You may not remove anything from the property that was there on your arrival. We have an inventory of all contents of the property.

When you leave, please follow all special instructions in the property manual. This may include that you make sure that all heating and cooling, electric blankets, appliances, burners and lights are switched off.

We will inspect the property after your stay finishes. You agree that you will pay for any damage to the property beyond normal wear and tear, or any losses, or excess cleaning required as a result of your use. You will also pay our costs in arranging for these.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
You agree that you will not have more guests stay in the property at any time during your stay than the maximum capacity of four specified for the property. This includes the grounds of the property. Caravans and tents are not allowed without prior written permission.

CHILDREN
Our property is suitable for up to two children. All ages are welcome. We do not have a cot on site so you will need to bring your own portable cot.

PETS
We have a strict no pet-policy. The secluded retreat is part of a fully operating dairy farm with livestock, and for that reason the cabin is not pet friendly.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES
You agree that you will not allow smoking inside the property at any time. You will face a potential claim for damages if you smoke inside, including vaping.

YOUR OTHER OBLIGATIONS
You also agree that you:
Will not part with possession of the property or assign this agreement.
Will only use the property for the purposes of the retreat accommodation and for no other purpose.
Will be responsible for the property at all times during your stay including the times that you leave the property unoccupied. Please note that the insurance requires that all doors and windows be locked whenever you leave the property.
Will tell us immediately if you do any damage, or if any part of the property needs repair.
Will not attempt repairs and shall be responsible for the consequences of unauthorised repairs.
Will not take firearms onto the property.

INSURANCE
The property is covered by risk insurance which covers fire, storm and tempest damage, third party damage and public risk. You agree that you will not commit any act which would invalidate the Insurance Policy.

The Retreat is part of a working dairy farm and as part of this agreement you agree to stay within the grounds of the Retreat and not enter any other areas of the farming property or have contact with any of the animals on the farm.

EARLY TERMINATION OF YOUR STAY
You agree that we have the right at all times to bring your stay to an end and repossess the property if:
the property is incorrectly used so as to endanger the property and its occupants or any other property or life;
you or any member of your party behaves in a manner which is likely to prejudicially affect our or the owners interest in the property or the goodwill of our foundation. This includes excessive noise or disturbance, or having more people on the property than the house allows.

INDEMNITIES
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any loss or damage which arises out of the use of the property by you that is in breach of these terms and conditions or through negligence by you or any member of your party.

You understand that you will be liable for all consequential loss in addition to the usual remedies available at law including loss of monetary donations where the property is put out of operation and cannot be used for subsequent stays as a result of the breach of these terms and conditions by you, or as a result of negligence by you or any member of your party.

You and the members of your party use the property at your own risk and neither we nor the property owner accept any responsibility for accidents, injuries or death due to use of equipment whether provided by us, the property owner or by you. We are also not responsible to any person for loss or damage to any property, personal belongings or personal affects stolen from the property or damaged or otherwise lost during your stay.

KEY COLLECTION
When your booking is confirmed, we will send you an agreement to confirm all the details.
On the day of your arrival, you will receive information with an access code and directions to the property.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation Policy -
We understand that circumstances may arise where you need to cancel your booking. Should this occur, please advise us as soon as possible so we can make the retreat available to other families grieving the loss of a child.
